Welcome to our special section dedicated to teachers and other professionals who provide instruction about recycling. We have searched many sources and resources to provide you with educationally relevant information to assist you in preparing lesson plans and units on recycling. Many of the resources that noted here have prepared educational materials and lesson plans which are available to teachers. Most of these resources are downloadable, and are provided by the sponsors at no cost to the teacher.

Plastics Environment & Plastics Industry Council Over the years, EPIC has worked very closely with the Canadian teaching community to ensure that all of its teaching resources meet the stringent requirements of today's teachers. EPIC's Teachers' Resource Site, is an educational web site that offers numerous free resources to assist teachers in addressing the subject of plastics in the classroom. Teacher Resources
Plastics Society of the Plastics Industry Through this resource, educators can find curricula for students at various stages of their primary and secondary school experience. Resources
Plastics American Plastics Council On this site, background materials about plastics are made available to both teachers and students, along with easily downloaded step-by-step depictions of classroom activities. In addition, there are links to a wide variety of plastics resources. The American Plastics Council has created a kit containing samples of a variety of recycled plastic resins and products that will supplement the information found on this site, and assist you in presenting the materials to your students.
Teaching Plastics
Plastics Plastics New Zealand Plastics New Zealand has prepared a teachers resource kit, "Plastics in the Technology Curriculum", to accompany the introduction of the new Technology Curriculum. This is a comprehensive introduction to polymers including their history, manufacturing techniques, uses and future outlook. The kit also includes practical, hands on exercises for pupils to carry out.

Steel Steel Recycling Institute Stimulating educational tools to teach young people about sensible solid waste management, the Steel Recycling Institute developed Steel Cycles, an educational program which spans grades pre-K through 12.
